Necklace cum Chain - 2

The chain consists of twenty-six flattened figure-eight links. One end is attached to a small, possibly modern, ring. The other terminates in a hook, which is partly masked by a leaf-shaped gold plate. Each link of chain supports a small pendant consisting of a short length of round wire forming a loop at the top and coiled at the lower end. The pearls that these pendants probably held have not been preserved, but nearly all the circles of gold granules that stopped the pearls from slipping off are still extant. One pendant is missing from this length of chain.
