Actor Holding a Theater Mask

This Greek gold ring (325–300 B.C.) features a round bezel engraved with a draped actor holding a theater mask. Crafted in solid gold, the bezel measures 2.2 × 2.1 cm, while the hoop extends to 2.3 cm at its widest. Its substantial form, transitioning from oval to round bezel style, reflects late Classical craftsmanship. Both decorative and functional, such rings often served as seals as well as personal adornment.
